What Apprentices Experience
Ethical Harvesting
Learn respectful harvesting practices rooted in stewardship and reciprocity.
Medicine Making
Create tinctures, oils, vinegars, salves, syrups, and seasonal remedies.
Farm & Plant Connection
Spend time with the plants through the rhythm of the growing season.
Apothecary Experience
Participate in behind-the-scenes herbal preparation work.
Community Learning
Gather alongside others passionate about plants, healing, and herbalism.
A Season in the Apprenticeship
From spring greens to autumn roots, the apprenticeship follows the rhythm of the land. Apprentices may spend one day harvesting calendula on the farm, another bottling tinctures at the apothecary, and another learning how to transform fresh plants into medicine for the community.
Every day is different. Every season teaches something new.

Is experience required?
No. This apprenticeship is for those who feel called to learn, participate, and deepen their connection with the plants and community.
What is the time commitment?
At this time, apprentces are asked to participate a minimum of 4 hours per month. There is no maximum participation requirement, and involvment often ebbs and flows with the season. Time commitments may very for future seasons.
Where does the apprenticeship take place?
The apprenticeship currently takes place between the Grounded Botanicals Apothecary in Boise, Idaho and partnering farm locations in Caldwell, Idaho and Ontario, Oregon. Locations and experiences may vary throughout the season depending on plant harvests and community activities.
